Next year's Honda CR-V made its debut at the Orange County Auto Show in September, just prior to the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show.
Many at LAAS were pleased with the direction Honda's award winning vehicles appear to be taking. However, the Japanese auto maker is treading lightly when reshaping a popular, well known ride like CR-V.
Next year's Honda CR-V will be powered by a 2.4-liter i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine. This powerplant is rated at 185 horsepower and 163 pound-feet of torque, connected to a 5-speed automatic transmission. Fuel economy estimates bring it in around 23 mpg city, and a whopping 31 mpg highway. An EcoAssist system onboard CR-V will?assist?in better driving and higher miles per gallon ratings. Visual reminders on the dash will inform you how to put less pressure on the brakes. Models will begin with a base LX, EX, and up to the EX-L coming in at prices ranging from $21,000-$30,000.
Current CR-V models at Walser Honda, located at 14800 Buck Hill Road in Burnsville, MN 55306, are available with a slew of options. Honda says their "Compact on the outside and roomy inside" CR-V will hit dealership lots by December 15th.1
