2022 Honda Ridgeline For Sale

Recently redesigned, the new 2022 Honda Ridgeline continues to be a great pickup truck option for Minnesota locals. With its powerful V6 engine, Burnsville winters and off-road adventures can be handled with ease. The Ridgeline’s innovative truck bed features a dual-action tailgate and an in-bed trunk, adding to its utilitarian truck design. Whatever is thrown its way, the new Ridgeline is sure to handle it.

What’s new on the 2022 Honda Ridgeline?

The 2022 Honda Ridgeline carries over last year’s redesign. The new body style adds aggression with a large squared-off upright grille and the hood’s new power bulge. Flanking the bold grille are bright LED lights making nighttime driving a breeze. With aerodynamics in mind, air vents have been added to the lower corners of the bumper for better airflow.  In the rear, the bumper has also been reshaped to better display the aggressive twin exhaust.

For those looking to amplify the stylings of the Ridgeline even further, a new HPD package, made in collaboration with Honda Performance Development, is offered. The exterior styling package changes the front grille, adds black fender flares, and replaces the wheels with a unique bronze-colored set.

Ridgeline Bed2022 Honda Ridgeline For Sale

As with any pickup truck, the bed is vital to the utility of the vehicle. The Honda Ridgeline comes with plenty of quirks, making it one of the most versatile beds on the market. Overall, the Ridgeline’s bed length stands at 64 inches and can extend out to 83 inches with the tailgate folded down.

As an industry first, the Ridgeline’s tailgate comes as dual-action. The tailgate can fold down like in a traditional truck, but it can also swing open to the side for easier access. Continuing to think ahead, Honda designed the truck bed with minimal wheel well humps, allowing for a surface that is almost completely flat.

If owners need to store something more secure, a lockable in-bed trunk is also available. The extra storage space adds 7.3 cubic feet of drainable cargo room, making it a perfect icebox for that weekend getaway or tailgate event.

The system is capable of all manner of connectivity including both Android Auto and Apple Carplay. In between the front seats is a center console with a generous amount of storage space. Wireless charging is also available to keep drivers always connected.

Rear passengers are also afforded a large amount of comfort space. Below the rear seats sit an additional 2.9 cubic feet of storage. If needed, the rear seat cushions can be folded up to reveal additional cargo room.

The Ridgeline offers 40.1 inches of headroom for front passengers and 38.8 inches in the rear. The legroom is also quite spacious with 40.9 and 36.7 inches of space.

Sport

As the base model, the Sport trim comes with an impressive amount of premium features as standard. Some of these conveniences include LED Headlights, proximity entry with push-button start, and tri-zone climate control. Technology is also not sacrificed in the Sport trim. The pickup truck comes with an 8-inch touchscreen that is compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Additionally, the Sport trim is equipped with the Honda Sensing suite of safety and driver-assisting features. Some features found here include Lane Keep Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control.

RTL

Upgrading to the RTL trim will bring additional convenience features to the Honda Ridgeline. The biggest change comes to the interior, now upholstered in leather. Adding comfort features, the RTL trim features heated seats, a sunroof, and Blind-Spot Monitoring.

RTL-E

The RTL-E trim presents itself with heaps of tech features. The most noticeable upgrade comes to the audio system. The standard seven-speaker system is upgraded to a premium eight-speaker setup with an additional set in the trunk bed. Six additional speakers are found within the bed to provide booming sound to any outdoor activities.

Smaller but notable additions include wireless phone charging, a heated steering wheel, second-row USB charge ports, and a 150W power outlet in the bed.

Black Edition

The Honda Ridgeline Black Edition builds on the RTL-E trim with a bolder look. The Black Edition comes with exclusive gloss-black exterior moldings to complement the black chrome accent pieces. Additionally, the Black Edition also comes with exclusive gloss black 18-inch wheels.

The interior also sees a bolder update with the inclusion of red LED ambient lighting.

Ridgeline Performance

All four trim levels of the 2022 Honda Ridgeline come with a powerful V6 engine paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. The 3.5L V6 engine is capable of delivering 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. Additionally, all trims come with AWD as standard, allowing it to tackle any road conditions.

The power does not come at the cost of fuel efficiency, however. The 2022 Ridgeline is able to achieve an impressive city/highway/combined MPG of 18/24/21.

Thanks to its powertrain, the Ridgeline can be a dependable workhorse. The truck is capable of towing up to 5,000 pounds and has a total payload capacity of 1,583 pounds.

Ridgeline Safety

The 2022 Honda Ridgeline has demonstrated its ability to keep its occupants safe in the event of a crash. The pickup has earned a five-star overall crash safety rating from the NHTSA as well as high marks from the IIHS.

Avoiding a crash altogether is preferable by all. Thankfully, the Ridgeline comes with Honda Sensing as standard on every model. The suite comes with a wide range of active safety features adding peace of mind. Some of these features include:

  • Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS): This feature will continuously monitor the front of the vehicle. If it detects a potential collision, the system will send out alerts and can actually apply the brakes in the case of an emergency.

  • Road Departure Mitigation System (RDM): This system will monitor and react if the vehicle begins to sway off the road or across lane markings. Alerts and gentle corrective steering are automatically applied to keep the Ridgeline within the lane. Additionally, the system can apply the brakes to prevent the car from potentially leaving the roadway entirely.
