All-new fourth generation
The 2026 Passport is a full redesign, not a minor refresh. It adopts a tougher, more upright exterior; a longer wheelbase; a revised 285-horsepower 3.5-liter V6; a 10-speed automatic transmission; and standard second-generation i-VTM4® all-wheel drive with Trail Torque Logic.
Inside, every trim gains a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, Google built-in, and a wireless phone charger. The wider cargo area, hidden storage bins, and available TrailSport hardware make the new Passport more useful both during the week and on trips up north.
Important lineup change: the current Passport no longer uses the old EX-L, TrailSport, and Elite structure. Honda now lists RTL, RTL Towing, RTL Blackout, TrailSport, TrailSport Blackout, TrailSport Elite, and TrailSport Elite Blackout.

Everyday power and all-weather control
The naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 produces 285 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. A 10-speed automatic replaces the previous generation’s 9-speed and includes paddle shifters.
Second-generation i-VTM4® can vary torque between the front and rear axles and between the rear wheels. Trail Torque Logic improves response when a wheel loses traction on uneven terrain.
Normal, ECON, Sport, Snow, Tow, Trail, and Sand modes adjust vehicle responses for commuting, winter weather, towing, and loose surfaces.
Adventure-ready hardware
TrailSport is more than an appearance package. It combines 275/60R18 all-terrain tires with an off-road-tuned suspension, steel underbody protection, high-visibility recovery hooks, a heated windshield-wiper zone, a panoramic moonroof, 115-volt power outlets, and an integrated Class III trailer hitch with wiring harness.
TrailSport Elite adds the comfort and camera technology that make a fully equipped adventure SUV easier to live with, including the second-generation TrailWatch™ camera system, ventilated front seats, a Bose premium audio system, rear-door sunshades, and a hands-free tailgate.

Honda rates every 2026 Passport for up to 5,000 pounds of towing when properly equipped. The RTL Towing, TrailSport, TrailSport Blackout, TrailSport Elite, and TrailSport Elite Blackout include an integrated Class III trailer hitch and wiring harness.
Although Honda lists the same maximum rating across the lineup, the standard RTL and RTL Blackout may require added towing equipment before hauling. Always confirm the hitch, wiring, trailer weight, cargo, passengers, and tongue-weight requirements for the exact vehicle and trailer.
Enough rated capacity for many small campers, fishing boats, snowmobile trailers, and utility trailers when properly configured.
