Key updates for the 2026 Honda Pilot include refreshed exterior styling with a larger, more confident grille and updated front and rear details. Inside, the Pilot receives a significantly larger 12.3 inch touchscreen and a redesigned digital instrument cluster that is easier to read at a glance. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now standard, along with Google built in and available 5G Wi Fi capability.
Honda also worked to improve the overall driving experience. The cabin is quieter thanks to added sound insulation, and the electric power steering has been retuned to feel more natural and precise. A power tailgate and roof rails are now standard on every trim, making the Pilot more convenient and capable across the lineup. Safety has also been enhanced with the addition of a new Post Collision Braking system.

Steel skid plates protect the underside of the vehicle, and all terrain tires improve traction in snow, dirt, and mud. Hill Descent Control and a dedicated Trail driving mode help maintain control on steep or uneven terrain.

Every 2026 Honda Pilot is powered by a 3.5 liter V6 engine that produces 285 horsepower and 262 lb ft of torque. The engine is paired with a smooth 10 speed automatic transmission that is tuned specifically for the Pilot.
Honda’s i VTM4 all wheel drive system is available across the lineup and comes standard on TrailSport, Touring, Elite, and Black Edition trims. The system can send power to the rear wheels and distribute torque side to side for better traction and stability. This is especially helpful in snow, rain, and uneven road conditions.
All Pilot models include five standard drive modes including Normal, Econ, Snow, Sport, and Tow. All wheel drive models add Sand and Trail modes for improved off road performance.
Safety continues to be a core strength of the Honda Pilot. Every 2026 model includes the Honda Sensing suite of driver assist features. This includes Collision Mitigation Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Road Departure Mitigation, and Forward Collision Warning.
