The Civic Type R is back and more powerful than ever for the 2023 model year. Not only is the new Civic Type R the most powerful model in Type R’s 30-year history, but it has been engineered from the ground up to deliver thrilling performance with a responsive driving experience.

Powered by Honda’s award-winning turbocharged 2.0-liter engine, the 2023 Type R also features an improved six-speed manual transmission and rev-matching system for an even more precise and rewarding connection to the road.

Muscular Design

Longer, lower and wider, the new Type R’s muscular yet refined design features include functional aerodynamics which increases well-balanced downforce and reduces drag. Widened fenders contain lightweight wheels wrapped in wider tires, and a new aggressive front bumper design features a sporty grille mesh that echoes the intricate honeycomb trim inside the cabin. Its more aggressive stance is accentuated by wider rear doors exclusive to Type R.

The rear of the 2023 Civic Type R features a reshaped rear bumper that reveals its signature three-round exhaust outlets and an all-new rear diffuser.

The all-new Type R will be available in five striking colors: Historic Championship White, Rallye Red, Boost Blue, Crystal Black Pearl, and Sonic Grey Pearl.

Immersive Cockpit Experience

The all-new Civic Type R features a new +R driving mode exclusive meter design that allows the driver to obtain important information fast, with a graphic rpm display, rev indicator lights, and gear position indicator at the top. The Honda LogR data logger provides real-time information on the mechanical movements of the vehicle. This allows you to record laptimes and share driving videos!
